LUG Call for Presentations

Doing something interesting with Lustre? Pushing the boundaries? We’d love to have you involved in the 13th annual Lustre User Group (LUG) conference!

LUG 2015 is the primary event for technical presentations and discussions on the Lustre parallel file system. This year’s conference is being held in Denver, Colorado, from April 13-15, 2015.

Call for Presentations

OpenSFS relies on the real world experience of the open source Lustre community members to provide valuable sessions to LUG attendees. We’re pleased to extend a call for presentations to solicit topics from Lustre users.

The LUG planning committee is looking for insight into best practices in deploying Lustre, case studies by Lustre users, and experiences from members of the business community who rely on Lustre. We are also looking for presentations related to specific development challenges, new feature development, project updates, edge-case implementations, and more.

All LUG presentations will be 30 minutes, with a total of 25-30 speaking opportunities available. We encourage you to review the agendas and caliber of presentations at past LUG events.

The presentation and poster submission deadline was February 27.

To submit a presentation abstract:

  • Visit the LUG 2015 Call for Presentations Submission web site
  • You will need to create a user account on Easy Chair (our online submission platform) if you don’t already have one.
  • After providing your user details via Easy Chair, you will be prompted to complete the online submission process
    • An abstract is only required for the submission process; presentation materials will be requested once abstracts are reviewed and selected
    • Abstracts not selected for inclusion in the conference will be invited to participate as a poster submission

Panel Discussions

Panel discussions are the ideal forum for hearing from leading developers, vendors, and users of Lustre as they debate future requirements, explore upcoming enhancements, and share real world best practices. If you’d like to suggest a topic for a panel discussion – or be part of a panel, please contact [email protected].

Poster Sessions

Poster sessions provide an opportunity for informal, interactive presentation and discussion of diverse topics related to Lustre technology. Authors are invited to submit proposals related to innovative projects, best practices, and original research findings. Proposals should include a brief abstract, place an emphasis on the unique value of the work, and summarize contributions or results being presented.

The selection committee will evaluate proposals primarily on their potential to stimulate interesting discussion, facilitate the exchange of ideas, and promote collaboration across varied functional areas. Posters should be eye-catching visual representations of a topic, including graphics, tables, charts, text, and/or images.

The presentation and poster submission deadline was February 27.
